There are keys to success in any 'Artistic Endeavor', foremost is the consistent time and effort you put in will increase your experience and knowledge in the long run.

Sure, there will be 'trial and error' throughout your journey, but if it was easy everyone would be doing it as well! 

My experience is not just the music side of business but also within the creative arts and crafts industry, merchandise and promoting, networking and performance.

I am for sure no expert and can say these are ONLY my opinions from my experiences, but to have a chance in any business venture a few basics are key to success.

• Lack of Preparation - (nothing should ever be left to the last minute)

• Advertising/Promoting - (some is better than none, there is always more you can do)

• Time Management - (this applies to every aspect of what can and needs to be done)

• Use of Resources - (working within a budget and creativity, you're not alone) 

• Networking - (speaks for itself, Follow Up is key, be a relentless professional)

• Promoting Your Scene - (be involved in the scene, put a face to the name)

• Performance, Appearance and Stage - (having a visual presence is a must in 90% of any industry)
